Litter Blitz

At the start of the clean up we made a pledge:
"I promise to put all rubbish in the correct place."

We know it is important to do that to stop the rubbish getting into the oceans and killing  sea creatures.
We were part of a whole school clean up  activity.

We all had different streets to go to to clean up.

We found lots of rubbish tucked under hedges and in the gutters.

Summer Sport

We had two great days outside getting into the the swing of things with summer sport.

It was hot hard work ..walking up ..up..up.

At the summit where we could see the whole world !

We all said our school Pepeha.

Then it was the start of the trek down.

A welcome picnic spot in a shady glade.

Having heaps of fun scrambling up the hill...

....and sliding back down.

Events From Week 2 Term 4

On Monday morning we were treated to a wonderful performance. The  Clarence High School Orchestra from Tasmania came to our school and gave us  rousing show.

They invited some of us to come up and dance the Time Warp with them.

On Monday afternoon we started our Summer Athletics programme.
We have a chance to move from activity to activity.

Calender Art

We have finished our calendar art paintings. We  painted trees showing the four seasons.
Soon  we will get order forms and we will have an opportunity to  buy our art made up into calenders.

Last Week of Term 3 and First Week of Term 4

Here we are on the last day of  Term 3.

As a treat we got to make cornflake cookies and watch them cook in the oven. We had to shape them, roll them and dip them in crushed cornflakes. They smelled delicious when they were ready.

Also on the last day of Term 3 we had a disco where we had so much fun dancing with our friends.

On the  first week of Term 4 we had one extremely exhilarating session of  League Tag. The aim of the game was not to let any of the catchers get our velcro tags.

Art Exibition

Room 11 felt excited when they went to view the school art exhibition.
Our class made paper mache Piggy Banks for our
3D piece of art.

We enjoyed looking at the art pieces other children had created.

We looked and talked about the things we noticed in other children's art.

The collaborative art was  placed on the stage and people had a chance to buy them.
Our collaborative piece is the one in the middle.

Our 2D piece of art was a painting of spring blossoms and  birds.
