Winter Fitness Activities

On Wednesday afternoons we get a chance to go outside and practise our big ball skills.

We have to think about the other person as we pass the ball.

We have to co-operate when we work in teams.

We have fun and we keep moving.

Native Bird Week

Ms Best, who is a Park Ranger at Arataki Forest Park, came to our school and talked to us about the native birds. She told us  and how they help to spread the trees by eating berries and moving pollen around.

Our class focused our learning about the takahe.  We learned lots of facts about them. Takahe were nearly extinct but a great conservation programme has seen lots of them being released back into their natural habitat .
