Book Review For Sneeze

My favourite bit is…

My favourite bit is when the lion attacks the hunter and pulls off his pants!

The funniest bit is…

When the elephant gets better and the others become sick with the flu.

My least favourite bit is…

My least favourite bit would have to be when they all roll over when elephant sneezes.

Write three positive and three negatives about using running blades.

Positives

Negatives

  1. If someone were to stand on your foot, normally you might find it painful, but, with a blade on you can  avoid getting hurt! Pretty handy.

  1. Sometimes you might lose balance since the width of the running blades are quite thin.

  1. The running blade wouldn’t be uneven on the bottom so you might find it easier to run.

    2.  It might be uncomfortable to wear.

       3. It would be good to wear running blades because your feet won’t get sore while running (Your legs might though!).

  1. It might prevent you from running faster.

Tyson's Someity

This is the drawing of Someity the Paralympics mascot. read below to find out a little more about it.

The name SOMEITY comes from "Someiyoshino" — a popular type of cherry blossom — and the phrase "so mighty". SOMEITY can show enormous mental and physical strength, representing Paralympic athletes who overcome obstacles and redefine the boundaries of possibility.

Can you double that number?  64

What about halving it? 1 6

Can you X it by 10?  320

How many blue number triangles are there?  4

Nora's Information Report

                  Covid-19

                                         Introduction

As you all probably know, Coronavirus is a highly contagious disease. The type of Coronavirus that has been around at the moment, (Covid-19) was discovered in 2019. No one knows where it came from, but there are many different theories.

                                Why is it called Covid-19?

The virus is called Covid-19 because ‘CO’ stands for corona, ‘VI’ stands for virus and ‘D’ for disease. As for the ‘corona’ part, ‘Corona’ means crown, and the virus has lots of spiky crowns all over it!↓↓(see!)

Why is it so contagious?

Covid-19 mostly spreads through respiratory droplets that are released when you sneeze, breath, talk, cough or sneeze. These droplets can be inhaled or land in your nose or your mouth. But Covid-19 particles that are way smaller than these droplets can drift in the air for minutes to hours.

                         How people catch Covid-19

Covid-19 is a very contagious disease, which means you can catch it many ways. The most common way is when an infected person coughs or sneezes on people who are not infected.

                          How to NOT catch Covid-19

Even though Covid-19 is a catchy disease, there are ways to fight it. Here are some ways: stay two metres away from strangers in levels 2, 3 or 4. Cough or sneeze into your elbow. Wash or sanitize your hands daily and wear masks.

                          Conclusion

If we go into lockdown again, (that's a big ‘if’) make sure to do these things. The main type of COVID-19 at the moment is the ‘Delta’ version. So far, there have not been many cases. Let's hope it doesn't increase in the future!

Olympic Mountain Biking

 Olympic Mountain Biking

Mountain biking is one of the fastest and bumpiest sports at the Olympics, it was only added in 1996. It’s similar to BMXing

Who can compete in Olympic events and what do they wear?

Men and women can do mountain biking at the Olympics. They  wear a material with a combination of light and rigid materials, typically carbon fiber or aluminum so they can go faster. It lets the air flow through them to let them go faster. They also wear sunglasses to protect them from the dust and a helmet for safety.

               What equipment do they use?

A gear bike like a trek one, they have a competitor number at the front  for example 1485 and front and back brakes.

                             Interesting facts

Mountain biking has been going on for 25 years, which isn't that long at the Olympics.

Mountain bikers have to train for 4 years! Tom Pidcock won gold at the men's mountain biking, Mathias Flückiger won silver and David Valero won bronze at the Olympics

In Conclusion mountain biking is a exciting and fast Olympic sport!
